  1. Menus:

  3. Each of the two different QuickNote windows will have several menus near the top of the window.

  6. The menus are as follows:

  8. File (when entering a new note):
  9.  
  10. New Category‚Ķ
  11.     This option allows you to create a new Category.
  12.  
  13. Insert Template
  14.     If you have any notes in a folder named ‚ÄúTemplates‚Äù within the QuickNote folder, they will be listed in this hierarchical menu for instant insertion into the current note.

  16. Page Setup‚Ķ
  17.     The standard dialog for printer options.
  18.  
  19. Print…
  20.     Print the text of the current note.  If you have background printing on, any printed notes will print after you Quit QuickNote.

  22. Quit
  23.     This option will save the note you have just created into the selected category (the popup menu on the bottom of the window).

  29. New Category‚Ķ
  30.     This option allows you to create a new Category.

  33.     Create a new note in the current Category.

  35. Revert
  36.     This option will revert the note you are editing to the way it was when you first started editing it.

  54.     Print the text of the current note.

  56. Copy Selection and Paste Into App
  57.     This option will copy the text selected into the clipboard, quitting QuickNote and will automatically paste into whatever document you are currently in (as long as the application will accept a text paste).

  59. Copy All Text and Paste Into App
  60.     This option will select all text of the current note and copy the text selected into the clipboard, quitting QuickNote and will automatically paste into whatever document you are currently in (as long as the application will accept a text paste).

  62. Quit
  63.     This option will save the note you have just created into the selected category (the popup menu on the bottom of the window).

  70.     Will undo the last text change made.

  73.     Will cut the selected text to the clipboard.
  74. Copy
  75.     Will copy the selected text to the clipboard.

  77.     Will paste any text on the clipboard into the current note.
  78. Clear
  79.     Will delete the selected text.

  82.     Will select all the text in the current note.
  83. Insert Date
  84.     Will insert the date into the current note.
  85. Insert Time
  86.     Will insert the time into the current note.

  88. Find
  89.     Search for text in any note (starting from the current item). You can also define a replacement string.
  90. Enter Selection
  91.     Will enter the text selected as the Find text.
  92. Find Again
  93.     Search for next occurrence of the last text searched for.
  94. Replace
  95.     Replace the selected text with the string defined in the Find Dialog.
  96. Replace & Find Again
  97.     Replace the selected text with the string defined in the Find Dialog and search for next occurrence of the last text searched for.
  98. Replace All
  99.     Will replace any text defined in the Find Dialog with the replace text also defined in the Find Dialog (for the current note only).  This option is not undoable, please be careful!

  101. Previous Category
  102.     If you have more than one category, you can move to the previous one.
  103. Next Category
  104.     If you have more than one category, you can move to the next one.

  107. Plugins:
  108.  
  109. Plugins are external files (kept in the QuickNote Plugins folder which should be in the System Folder) which do certain operations on selected text.  As more plugins are created for QuickNote, you just add them to your QuickNote Plugins folder (and within it‚Äôs appropriate folder if necessary) to add more functionality to QuickNote.  There are several plugins that should have come with QuickNote, see the PlugIns chapter for more information.
